Mead Fishing and Hunting Club Overnight Camping Rules •
TRAILER/ RV RULES AND REGULATIONS
Effective beginning on January 1, 2019, all trailer/RV spaces will be leased from the
Mead Fishing and Hunting Club to its members. There are forty-one (41) available
trailer spaces that can be leased to members and five (5) trailer/RV spaces that can be
rented by any member that wishes overnight camping. These camping spaces may be occupied
for up to seven (7) continuous nights, and then must be removed from the lake property for
48 hours to allow others to utilize the facilities. Overnight rental envelopes are located
on the south Conex by the bulletin board. Due to limited space overnight trailer/RV
rental spaces my not have a boat or trailer stored next to their trailer/RV. They must be
parked in available boat trailer parking area. All leased and rental trailer/RV owners
must comply with the following regulations.
1. All trailers/ RV must have current license plates and be moveable for at least a
minimum of 72 hours per year if requested. All boat trailers stored on lake
property must also have current license plates displayed.
2. Trailer/ RV owners must display their names, addresses and telephone numbers
on their units. The lettering must be large enough to be seen from 25 feet.
3. Only one (1) trailer/RV is allowed per spot. A boat may be stored next to the
trailer utilizing a minimal amount of room. (Due to limited space overnight, rental
spaces my not have a boat or trailer stored next to their trailer/ RV.)
4. Leased trailer/RV owners must keep the grass and weeds around their units cut.
Grass and weeds should be cut at least every ten (10) days during the summer
months and no later than every two (2) weeks. Failure to obey this rule Will
result in a fine or more severe penalty.
5. Trailer/RV owners must keep the units and the premises around them in an
orderly condition all year round.
6. Trailer/RV owners are responsible for the conduct of their guests.
7. Only one (1) trailer/RV is allowed per membership.
8. Trailer/RV owners must use as little space as possible when parking boats
beside their trailers.
9. The Board of Directors has the authority to assign a designated space to trailers.
The Mead Fishing and Hunting Club reserves the right to request the removal of a
member’s trailer within seventy-two (72) hours, upon the violation of any rules or the
discontinuance of membership in the Mead Fishing Club.
Following are examples of how a trailer site may be obtained.
A member decides he/she no longer wants to own a trailer, but still wishes to retain membership:
1. The member then can offer the sale of his/ her space to a current member to
recover improvement cost incurred to the space. The board must be notified of
the transaction within (1) week prior to the transfer.
A member who owns a trailer decides to relinquish his/her membership:
1. If the owner of a trailer wants to drop his/her membership, the member will notify the Board of Directors of his/her intentions. The Board will first notify current members to see if they are interested in purchasing the trailer site. The Board will post a notice on the bulletin board and website for thirty (30) days to all other members. (Note: if you are a member you can only have one membership.) If after thirty (30) days, no one from the membership is interested in the trailer site, the owner may then go outside the club to find a buyer who will purchase the trailer and assume his/her membership. All transfers must be first approved one (1) week prior to the sale by the board.
2. Transfer fees for an arrangement such as this will be the same as the initiation
fee for a new member paid to the Mead Fishing Club.
3. All available trailer/RV spaces will be allocated by a drawing.
Privileges for leased trailer/RV spaces:
1. Must be kept neat and orderly no weeds trash or debris, leaves, etc.
2. Camping spot may have a camper, boat, picnic table, BBQ fire pit with no more
than a few bundles of wood kept neatly stack by camper please no lawn furniture
then a picnic table.
3. Nothing stored underneath campers
4. Campers must be road worthy at all times tires inflated with current license
plates.
5. Names of the owner must be displayed in window of camper with their phone
number. The lettering must be large enough to be seen from 25 feet.
6. Boats must have the member number on the tongue of the trailer and on the
boat.
7. If you do not have a trailer or a boat on your camping spot you still are
responsible for all the above items.
8. No trailer or RV may have no more than two (2) propane tanks no larger than
40lbs each.
9. If you are planning a vacation, you need to make arrangements to have your spot
taken care of while you're gone.
10.Hunting dogs or family pets must be kept on a leash at all times, unless running
them on the west side of the lake or the north side of the lake.
11.All pet owners are responsible for the immediate removal of animal waste in the
Trailer/RV and picnic areas.
Violations:
Violations (two violations in a calendar year per member) third violation will result losing
your privilege to that trailer/RV spot.
1- (First violation) The member will receive a phone call, or a certified letter sent to
your home of the violation.
2- The member will have seven days after the notification to fix the violation.
3- On the eighth day after notification (The board will take care of the violation and
there will be a fine issued for $100.00 you will have seven days at that point to
pay your fine.
4- (Second violation) you will receive a phone call, or a certified letter sent to your
home of the violation.
5- The member will have seven days after notification to fix the violation.
6- On the eighth day the board will take care of the violation and there will be a fine
issued for $100.00 you will have seven days at that point to pay your fine.
7- (Third violation) you will lose your lease privilege to have your boat camper etc.
on the premises you will be asked to remove your property from lake property
and will not be reimbursed for the balance of that year but will still retain your
membership.
CAMPING
All Members and Guests must comply will all MFC bylaws. •
There are several RV camp sites just west of the main boat ramp.
All animals must always be kept on a leash in the camping and picnic areas. •
All animal waste must be removed from trailer or picnic area. •
Trailer/ RV owners must display their names, addresses and telephone numbers on their units. The lettering must be large enough to be seen from 25 feet. •
All trash shall be removed from around your Trailer/RV and removed from lake property. • Quiet hours are between 10PM and 7am. •
All fires and grills cannot be left unattended. •
No Sewage or Grey water shall be dumped on lake property or in outhouses. •
You must pay $10 day and must be paid before you leave lake property. •
Maximum occupancy of overnight Trailer/RV spaces is seven (7) days per member between May 1st and October 1st. This will allow others to use spaces. •
