Presidents Message
Greetings members of Mead Fishing and Hunting Club. I want to take time to update you on “state of the club”.
We are taking steps to update this website and provide current information to our members.
The Home page for our website will now have an Alert / Important message box positioned prominently for you to view when opening the MFHC website. Messages such as a reminder when annual dues are collected, any closures by Handy Ditch Co, etc.
We are implementing a gmail account for getting information out quickly to members by email. If you do not have access to a computer or emails please ask a family member or friend to keep you updated with the email messages and we will send your emails to that person.
Fishing: Please read and understand the slot and size limits on our fishing rules and regulations. We stock species of fish that our members have stated is important to them. It is your responsibility to keep within the daily limits so our stocking program will be enjoyed by everyone. Any member is authorized to check any member for limit and size requirements. Pleaser read the bylaws, rules and regulations for further fishing information.
Boating: Please take precautions on not introducing zebra mussels and other invasive species to our lake. Handy Ditch Company requires us to follow State and local invasive species protocols. The main boat ramp is long enough that there are no issues with launching your boat during times of low water. If there is ever an issue we will put that on the website important information box on the Home page. Please read the bylaws and rules and regulations for boating.
Hunting: Waterfowl hunting during legal seasons is from ½ hour before sunrise to 10am each morning and from 3pm to sunset each afternoon on the west side of the lake. Fishermen can then use the west side from 10am to 3pm. The Board of Directors expects that hunters and fishermen will cooperate and work well with one another.
In closing, your acceptance and use of the MFHC gate card is your acknowledgement that you have read and understand all MFHC bylaws, rules and regulations.
We certainly hope you enjoy the MFHC experience.
